WASHINGTON – Discover Downtown Washington has reopened its Quick Impact Façade Grant Program. Assistance with a facade project is available to three new recipients.
Each façade project will be awarded matching funds up to $3,500 upon completion of the work and adherence to the façade grant guidelines, according to a news release from Discover Downtown Washington.
This program is intended to create an opportunity that will stimulate quick improvements to the exteriors of the buildings within downtown Washington. The program’s goal is to stimulate retail growth and reflect quick, tangible, positive change downtown through enhanced aesthetics.
This grant was made in partnership with the City of Washington and Daviess County, each sponsoring 50% of the grant.
The total amount of private invested dollars for these downtown façade projects exceeds $280,000.
