Three companies from Radius region named to Indiana Chamber’s list of Best Places to Work

Southern Indiana Business Report

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Chamber of Commerce released its list of the 2024 Best Places to Work in Indiana Monday. The list includes three companies from the Radius Indiana region.

JA Benefits, a company based in Bedford, and two Washington businesses – TrueRxHealth Strategies and TrueScripts – were recognized.

All three companies have previously made the list with JA Benefits named to the list more than 10 times.

Nearly 200 businesses were recognized, the most ever. This marks the 19th edition for the Indiana Chamber of Commerce initiative.

“The Best Places to Work in Indiana program is such a great resource in today’s talent-driven economy. More and more organizations are valuing the feedback they receive through the anonymous employee survey component, which helps them better understand their own team members and, in turn, know if they are on the right track with policies or where they can improve their culture and productivity,” said Indiana Chamber President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders.

“The honored companies offer a blueprint for employee attraction and retention, and we are excited to celebrate their success. We hope that the values and strategies on display in their workplaces can serve as models for other Indiana employers as we work together to address Indiana’s talent pipeline needs.”

Winning organizations represent more than 40 cities and towns, with multiple honorees coming from Carmel, Evansville, Fishers, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Marion, Plainfield, Warsaw and Washington. In addition, several businesses have multiple Indiana locations.

The rankings will be unveiled May 8 at an awards event presented by trueU.

The top companies in the state were determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys. The Workforce Research Group handled the selection process.

Winners were selected from four categories: small companies of between 15 and 74 U.S. employees; medium companies of between 75 and 249 U.S. employees; large companies of between 250 and 999 U.S. employees; and major companies with 1,000 or more U.S. employees. Out-of-state parent companies were eligible to participate if at least 15 full-time employees are in Indiana.

The 2024 Best Places to Work in Indiana companies range in Hoosier employee count from 15 to 1,305.

Two companies – Edward Jones and KSM (Katz, Sapper & Miller) – have received the honor in all 19 years of the program’s history.

In addition to the May 8 awards, winners will be recognized via a special section of the Indiana Chamber’s BizVoice® magazine and through Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick – both of which reach statewide audiences. Additional program partners are HR Indiana SHRM, Indiana Department of Workforce Development, Institute for Workforce Excellence, Wellness Council of Indiana and Workforce Research Group.

All companies that participated in the 2024 Best Places to Work program receive an in-depth evaluation identifying strengths and weaknesses according to their employees. In turn, this report can be used in developing or enhancing employee retention and recruitment programs.

The 2024 Best Places to Work in Indiana awards celebration will be open to the public. Individual tickets and tables of 10 are available at www.indianachamber.com/conferences.

Additional Best Places to Work in Indiana sponsors are: gold sponsor Nucor Steel Indiana; silver sponsors LHD Benefit Advisors and True Rx Health Strategies; visibility sponsors Bone Dry Roofing Inc., DKP, Harrah’s Hoosier Park, Invst, Jackson Lewis, Moser Consulting, Performance Services Inc., Reis-Nichols Jewelers and TrueScripts.
