“We know there is an interest in expanding our business capacity in Crawford County by growing our own entrepreneurs,” said Michael Thissen, executive director of CCEDP. “We now have a qualified resource in Mandi Elliott to serve those who are interested in starting a business. Mandi has the training and expertise to honestly assess and guide potential business owners through the planning process so they can be successful right here in beautiful Crawford County.”

Thissen extends congratulations Elliott on the new achievement and said he’s happy to see CCEDP grow its relationship with SBDC. He called the organization “a terrific ally and friend to the CCEDPC,” and he added SBDC has had a presence in the Crawford County Welcome Center since 2019.

Steve Bryant, regional director of the South Central SBDC, said the organization is pleased to enter this new partnership with CCEDP. “We plan to work with them closely by providing the free resources, information and data prospective entrepreneurs need to make decisions on starting a new business. Getting Mandi up to speed on all of our resources and programs is a first step in making things happen,” he said.

Elliott serves as the marketing coordinator for CCEDP and held administrative positions in non-profit organizations prior to this position. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Palm Beach Atlantic University in education.
