Old National posts net income in Q3 report; CEO named vice chair of bankers organization

Southern Indiana Business Report

EVANSVILLE – Old National Bank released its third quarter financial report for 2025, reporting a net income of $178.5 million.

Included in third quarter results were pre-tax charges of $69.3 million for merger-related expenses following ONB’s acquisition of Bremer Bank, which was finalized in May. Excluding these items and realized debt securities losses from the current quarter, adjusted net income was $231.3 million.

Third quarter deposits totaled $55 billion, up 4.8%. Total loans were up 0.6% for a total of $48 billion.

“Old National’s outstanding quarterly results reflect our continued focus on the fundamentals and the benefits from our recent partnership with Bremer Bank,” said Chairman and CEO Jim Ryan in a news release. “Furthermore, with conversion activities related to our Bremer partnership now complete, Old National is exceptionally well positioned for the remainder of 2025 and beyond.”

Old National also reported that Ryan was named vice chair of the American Bankers Association. The announcement was made this week at the ABA’s annual meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“I am honored to serve as Vice Chair of the ABA and to work alongside such an exceptional group of leaders. Banking is about helping people achieve their dreams and strengthening the communities we serve. I look forward to advancing the industry’s priorities and supporting our nation’s banks as they drive economic growth and opportunity,” Ryan said.

Ryan has served as chairman and CEO of Old National Bancorp since 2019, having joined the company in 2005. In addition to his new role with the ABA, he is the past chair of the ABA’s American Bankers Council and serves on the board of directors of the Mid-Size Bank Coalition of America. Locally, he is chair of Deaconess Health Systems, vice chair of the Evansville Regional Business Committee, and a member of the Southwest Indiana Regional Development Authority.
