Owen County State Bank moving to new location in downtown Bedford

BEDFORD – Owen County State Bank is growing and moving to a new location in downtown Bedford.

OCSB entered the Lawrence County market in 2020 with a branch at the Limestone Business Center on 16th Street. Since then, the branch has experienced steady growth and a positive reception from the community. To enhance service capabilities, bank leadership identified the need for a more accessible location with key features, including a drive-up ATM, drive-thru services, and a night depository.

In 2023, OCSB purchased the property at 1037 15th St. It was previously owned by Regions Bank and had been vacant since 2021.

OCSB completed comprehensive renovations to the interior and exterior, integrating local limestone to celebrate Bedford’s rich limestone heritage. OCSB will begin serving customers at the new location Oct. 15.

“We are enthusiastic about this new chapter and are committed to continuing our service to the Bedford community with enhanced facilities and offerings,” said Bob Taylor, President & CEO, of OCSB.

The newly renovated branch will include a drive-thru, ATM and night deposit facility, ensuring convenient access to services. The new location was designed to improve OCSB’s offerings for both personal and business accounts and will provide lending services tailored to meet the needs of commercial and personal clients.
