INDIANAPOLIS — Jasper-based Kimball Electronics has been named to the 2024 list of Indiana’s Best Places to Work in Manufacturing, which is presented by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
Indiana’s wide array of manufacturing companies has long been a strength to the state’s economy. A statewide competition, in its third year, highlights those employers boasting a positive culture.
The 2024 list features winning companies from Evansville, Indianapolis, Jasper, Noblesville, Poseyville, Sharpsville and Urbana.
“It’s a pleasure to once again honor Indiana’s manufacturers emphasizing strong workplace cultures and employee well-being,” says Indiana Chamber President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders. “Manufacturing is an anchor of Indiana’s economy and a pathway to giving Hoosiers opportunities to advance their careers, learn new skills and be prepared for the future economy.”
The company rankings will be unveiled at the 2024 Best IN Manufacturing Awards Luncheon Dec. 11, where the winner of the latest Coolest Thing Made IN Indiana competition will also be announced. Event sponsors are the spirit sponsor, Purdue Manufacturing Extension Partnership (Purdue MEP), with gold sponsor Kalenborn Abresist Corporation and silver sponsor Evonik Tippecanoe Laboratories.
Indiana’s Best Places to Work in Manufacturing were determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys. The Workforce Research Group handled the selection process.
The seven 2024 honorees range in Hoosier employee count from 30 to 607.
All companies that participated in the 2024 program receive an in-depth evaluation identifying strengths and weaknesses according to their employees. In turn, this report can be used in developing or enhancing employee retention and recruitment programs.
Kalenborn Abresist Corporation of Urbana has taken first place in each of the first two years of the competition. Kimball Electronics was also named to the list in 2023.
In addition to the Dec. 11 awards, winners will be recognized via a special section of the Indiana Chamber’s BizVoice® magazine.
