Loogootee firm awarded $10M defense contract

LOOGOOTEE – A Loogootee business was awarded a $10 million contract by the Department of Defense to manufacture and test antenna system arrays.

Contract specifics call for Loughmiller Machine, Tool & Design to perform the work in support of AN/SPS-48E antenna and pedestal radar restoration repair.

AN/SPS-48E is a three-dimensional radar system used on both land and sea to detect low-flying and high-altitude missiles and aircraft.

The work will be performed in Loogootee and will be completed by November 2027.  

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division is the contracting activity.
