JASPER — Online voting has pushed Jasper into the final round of the national Strongest Town contest. According to the April 1 announcement, Jasper edged out Yellow Springs, Ohio: 53%-47%. Jasper now faces Norwood, Ohio, for top honors.
Finals week begins Monday, April 4, with Strong Towns staff members Rachel Quednau and Jay Stange hosting a live webinar at 4 p.m. EDT featuring representatives from both communities. Viewers who’d like to take in the webinar live can register by clicking here.
A recording of the webinar will be posted, along with a ballot, at www.strongtowns.org/strongesttown. Voting closes at 1 p.m. EDT on Thursday, April 7. (A recording of the webinar can also be found at on the Strong Towns YouTube channel.
