INDIANAPOLIS — Diversity, equity and inclusion; wage and hour laws; and environmental compliance headline the critical business topics to be addressed at Indiana Chamber conferences in October.
The Elevate Indiana: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Best Practices for Business and Industry conference on Oct. 14 will be presented by the law firm Jackson Lewis and will be held at the Ritz Charles in Carmel. This inaugural offering will cover overt prejudice, unconscious bias and legal matters that can negatively impact businesses.
“We’re excited for this conference as it will help attendees address modern issues and create new best practices that can help their organizations thrive,” said Kerri Begley, Indiana Chamber vice president of business education and events. “It’s a great source for how to start and continue the DE&I conversations and policies on things like closing opportunity gaps and actively supporting a more diverse workforce that will benefit all of Indiana.”
The conference will also feature the presentation of the new Jackson Lewis Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Champion Award, given to an organization making exceptional strides to become a more equitable workplace.
The cost to attend is $399 for Indiana Chamber members and $499 for non-members, and a virtual attendance option is available.
