FRENCH LICK – The French Lick Resort Casino reported an adjusted gross revenue (AGR) of $6,016,787 for April, which is down from the previous month by $450,863 when the AGR was $6,467,650.
Although April’s revenue fell short of March, it was higher than February, when the casino recorded $5,917,190 in AGR.
Looking at a year-to-year comparison, April’s taxable AGR is down from a year ago when the casino’s AGR for April 2022 was $6,795,275, a difference of $778,488.
The latest numbers for gaming were released by the Indiana Gaming Commission in its monthly revenue update Friday.
The Orange County casino paid $79,265 in sports wagering tax and $962,686 in wagering tax for a combined wagering tax of $1,041,951 paid in April. The previous month, the casino paid $1,142,400.
Year to date, the total tax paid by the French Lick Casino is $5,211,891, an increase of $1,155,835 from April 2022 when the YTD total tax paid was $4,056,056.
Statewide, the taxable AGR in April for all Indiana gaming sites combined was $199,183,356, a decrease of $16,114,435 from April 2022 when the AGR was $215,297,791. The March 2023 taxable AGR for all gaming sites was $217,916,547.
The statewide wagering tax total for all sites in April is $68,796,855 and the year to date in wagering taxes paid to the state is $553,165,260.
