Brothers Cigar Lounge in Bedford is hitting the road. This fall, they plan for their mobile cigar lounge to be fully operational and ready for booking.
The trailer, designed to look like a 1920s speakeasy on the inside, will be available for weddings, private events, corporate events and more. Customers can choose from four packages, all of which will include a tobacconist and sommelier on location to assist with custom cut and light experiences, talk through each blend and tobacco type, as well as generally serve their guests.
Packages will be customizable based on what people think guests at their event may want.
“If they want a 100-cigar event or a 500-cigar event, we will custom curate those cigars to whatever they would like,” Brothers Cigar Lounge owner Chuck Neideffer said.
Prices for set packages and customizations will be released in the fall.
The mobile lounge has already been booked for a few large events in Downtown Indianapolis this November, but generally, the lounge will serve Lawrence County and the surrounding areas within a two-to-four-hour drive.
In the future Neideffer hopes to add a couple more mobile lounges and operate across all of Indiana.
Neideffer and his wife, Tammy, will be involved in curating the cigars, ordering them, setting contracts and working with customers, but since the lounge is open four days a week, plus they both have full-time jobs, they will not typically be taking the mobile lounge to events. Marty Deckard and Jim Graham will.
“They’re going to go out and set up at the events,” Neideffer said. “They are really going to be on the forefront of the lounge once we get going.”
Talks of adding a mobile lounge began last year. As Neideffer travelled around the Midwest, he noticed the business was becoming a trend. To get a head start before it takes off, and establish themselves further, Neideffer bought the trailer last year and has been working to get it ready. Plus, people in the area were asking for it.
“We want to offer the same quality and experience that we offer in our lounge and just get it out in the community,” Neideffer said.
