JASPER – Southwest Indiana Workforce in partnership with Vincennes University-Jasper and Dubois Strong are coordinating a job fair to support employees impacted by the closure of Jasper Rubber.
The job fair will take place on April 11, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Eastern time at the Ruxer Gym on the Jasper Campus of Vincennes University.
The event is designed to connect affected workers with employers who are actively hiring. Businesses with open positions who are seeking qualified candidates are strongly encouraged to participate in this effort to support individuals impacted by the closure.
“The closure of this facility is a significant change for many families, and the event is about turning that challenge into opportunity. By connecting impacted workers directly with hiring employers and training providers, we’re helping ensure that talent stays here in Southwest Indiana and continues to strengthen our regional economy,” said Sara Worstell, executive director of Southwest Indiana Workforce. “Our team is committed to providing individualized guidance and support every step of the way.”
Employers interested in participating should register in advance. Impacted employees are encouraged to attend and bring copies of their resumes.
