ORLEANS – Infrastructure Systems Inc., a water and sewer line construction company based in Orleans, has been acquired by Azuria Water Solutions.
Azuria provides technology and rehabilitation solutions for wastewater, stormwater and potable water pipelines. Its headquarters are located in St. Louis, Missouri.
Infrastructure Systems will operate as Insituform Technologies USA, an Azuria company, according to a news release from Azuria. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
Infrastructure Systems was founded in 1999 by Greg Noble, Mike Stalker, Grant Noble and Jon Stalker as a general utility contractor. Today, the company offers vacuum excavation, slip lining, directional drilling, water and sewer line installation and more for customers in southern Indiana and Kentucky.
Devin Schmidt, Jon Stalker and Charles Crites will remain on board to transition and lead the business.
According to information on Azuria’s website, the company was established in 1971 as Insituform and presented an initial public offering 10 years later. In 2011, after decades of strategic acquisitions, Azuria was formed as a holding company for Insituform and the other companies under ownership at the time; Azuria was then listed on the NASDAQ under the symbol AEGN. In 2021, New Mountain Capital purchased all outstanding shares of Azuria, making it a private company once again.
Azuria companies currently employ more than 2,300 people in locations across the globe and can deliver more than 700 products and services.
