JASPER – Fischer Farms is in Washington, DC this week as one of 50 vendors from across the United States selected to participate in the Great American Farmers Market, hosted on the National Mall.
Organized by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in celebration of America’s 250th birthday and National Farmers Market Week, the event features more than 50 vendors exemplifying American agriculture in one historic setting.
Fischer Farms, located in Dubois County, is representing the Hoosier state at this national showcase. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet Dave and Diana Fischer, learn more about the history of the farm, see a large display of their premium meats, and even place an order that can be delivered from the farm to their home.
“We are proud to represent Indiana at the Great American Farmers Market in Washington, D.C. as it is a unique opportunity to showcase our farm’s commitment to raising premium, sustainable meats with people from across the country,” said Dave Fischer, co-owner of Fischer Farms.

Attending the Great American Farmers Market aligns well with the Fischers’ broader goals of supporting healthy communities and working to build a more resilient food system. By showcasing their high‑quality meats and educating attendees about their tested farm practices they will be reinforcing the family legacy behind their brand.
