BEDFORD – Hoosier Hills Credit Union has again earned a spot on the Forbes list of America’s Best-In-State Credit Unions 2025, marking the third consecutive year the Bedford-based credit union has received this distinguished honor.
The recognition is presented by Forbes in collaboration with Statista Inc., a global leader in data analytics and industry rankings. The 2025 rankings were officially announced last week.
As trusted financial institutions, credit unions play a vital role in supporting local economies and serving the unique financial needs of their communities. The America’s Best-In-State Credit Unions 2025 list highlights those organizations that members value most, based on a combination of direct feedback and online reviews.
The rankings are based on two primary data sources:
1. Independent Survey: Approximately 26,000 U.S. consumers were surveyed. Participants were asked to identify credit unions where they hold checking or savings accounts and to rate them across six key areas: Trust, Terms & Conditions, Branch Services, Digital Services, Customer Service, and Financial Advice.
2. Online Sentiment Analysis: Publicly available online reviews and ratings were analyzed using a sentiment-based approach to further assess Member satisfaction. Each credit union’s final score was determined by a weighted system — 80% based on survey feedback and 20% on online reviews. In each state, the credit union with the highest combined score earned the top spot.
