Two hospitals in the Radius Indiana region were recognized for providing excellent care in their communities.
Daviess Community Hospital
Daviess Community Hospital was recognized by the Indiana Hospital Association, in partnership with State Health Commissioner Lindsay Weaver, M.D., FACEP, for its commitment to infant and maternal health at the fifth annual INspire Hospital of Distinction recognition program.
INspire, funded by the Indiana Department of Health’s Safety PIN grant, was developed to implement the delivery of best practice care for Hoosier moms and babies and recognize hospitals for excellence in addressing key drivers of infant and maternal health.
Daviess Community Hospital earned an INspire Hospital of Distinction recognition based on implementing best practices in key areas, including infant safe sleep, breastfeeding, perinatal substance use, social drivers of health, obstetric hemorrhage, and maternal hypertension.

Memorial Hospital in Jasper
Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper was named among the 2025 Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals by The Chartis Center for Rural Health. Chartis’ annual Top 100 award program honors outstanding performance among the nation’s rural hospitals based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX®.

The INDEX is the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance. Memorial Hospital was one of only three hospitals in Indiana to receive the 2025 designation. The other two were Parkview Huntington Hospital in Huntington and St. Elizabeth Dearborn in Lawrenceburg.
