INDIANAPOLIS – More than a dozen counties, cities and towns in the Radius Indiana region received a portion of a $200 million pot of Community Crossings grants.
Gov. Mike Braun and the Indiana Department of Transportation announced the award of more than $200 million in Community Crossings matching grants for local road and bridge projects across 245 Indiana cities, towns, and counties last week.
“Improving and maintaining roads and bridges at all levels is crucial for enhancing quality of life and public safety for Hoosiers,” said Braun. “Communities across the state need investment in their local infrastructure and we are pleased to partner with them to make necessary improvements.”
Communities submitted applications for funding during a highly competitive call for projects in January. Funding for Community Crossings comes from the state’s local road and bridge matching grant fund.
