Ivy Tech to host seminar for aspiring entrepreneurs June 27

BLOOMINGTON – Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington’s Entrepreneurship program and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) of Southwest Central Indiana are collaborating to host an Entrepreneur That! seminar on Thursday, June 27. The one-day event is designed to provide attendees with resources and next steps to get their businesses and ideas off the ground.

At the event, attendees will hear talks, engage in workshops, and network. Professionals from the South Central Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC), Ivy Tech, and local entrepreneurs will be on hand to provide practical tips and industry connections.

The agenda includes presentations from Kristi and Kelsie-Risk Reyes, founders of the successful Pink House Sweets (formerly Diamond K Sweets); the ISBDC; Ivy Tech instructor, Monique Dallas, on social media and marketing for businesses, the Ivy Tech Entrepreneurship program, and more.

“Ivy Tech’s Entrepreneurship program has assisted in the launching of numerous businesses in our community,” Sueann Graham, program chair for entrepreneurship at Ivy Tech Bloomington said. “This event is meant to connect aspiring entrepreneurs with the resources and inspiration they need to create their own businesses.”

Tickets are $10 for students or $20 for general admission. Funds raised support the SWE. The event will take place at Ivy Tech Bloomington in Shreve Hall.
