Indiana businesses can learn the ins and outs of government contracting and hear from a lead manufacturing advisor during a webinar Jan. 25.
Organized by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and Indiana Procurement Technical Assistance Center, the webinar is from 11 a.m. to noon.
Guest speaker will be Georgian Simion, lead manufacturing advisor for the Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC). Simion covers a large area of expertise from ERP/MES systems’ implementation to floor layouts, equipment evaluation and deployment, process flow reviews and improvements, quality control/certifications, succession plans recommendations, manufacturing and production leadership, automation, industry 4.0. His focus during this webinar will be the Manufacturing Initiative, their Manufacturing Specialty Advisors Team and the Manufacturing Readiness Grant (MRG).
Andy Alexander, IEDC PTAC program specialist/counselor in Bloomington, will lead the training portion of the webinar covering Government Contracting, Selling to Government.
Participants will also receive an update of PTAC program services to manufacturing businesses in Indiana.
