Officials break ground on $84M semiconductor campus at WestGate

Southern Indiana Business Report

ODON — State and local officials celebrated a ground-breaking Monday morning at WestGate@Crane Technology Park in Odon on an $84 million semiconductor campus.

Four semiconductor companies plan to invest a total of $300 million in Indiana and create nearly 550 jobs at the campus.  The project will leverage academic, corporate and defense partners to speed the re-shoring of semiconductor research and manufacturing in the U.S.

Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb was among those in attendance.

The new, specialized jobs will be critical in advancing American-made microelectronics verification, validation and production of critical microelectronics components in the U.S.

Up to $10 million in READI matching funds are being used to accelerate this shovel-ready infrastructure project, according to the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.
