Vaughn honored for years of service in region

Southern Indiana Business Report

EVANSVILLE — The Southwest Indiana Development Council (SWIDC) honored Susan Vaughn, Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) regional director with an award for her years of service to the region.  Vaughn retired at the end of April.

The award was given to Vaughn at SWIDC’s regular meeting in April, where local economic development officials praised her for her years of service and thanked her for her partnership in driving investment in the SWIDC footprint.

“Susan has been a true partner and friend to our rural counties,” said Michael Thissen, chairman. “It is fitting we thank her for her years of service to our communities as we partner and strengthen them for economic and quality of place growth. “We are grateful for her engagement and her leadership in public service to this region.”

Originally from Vincennes, Vaughn left the private sector in 2014 to become the IEDC’s Southwest Indiana regional director.
