Crane Key Leader Series returns Feb. 16

Southern Indiana Business Report

ODON — Two speakers will discuss operations at Crane during the next Crane Regional Defense Group’s Key Leader Series luncheon. The program will feature Shannon Kasinger-Clark and Stacey Mervyn, NSWC Crane chief strategists for expeditionary and electronic warfare. The luncheon is the third such gathering since the program launched last summer. It will be held Feb. 16 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at WestGate Academy. The event is free, and more information and registration can be found here.

During her NSWC Crane career, Kasinger-Clark has worked in all three of Crane’s mission areas: electronic warfare, expeditionary warfare and strategic missions – at various levels within the organization. In June of 2004, she began working at NSWC Crane as a project engineer, supporting aircraft and aerospace electrochemical power source programs. In 2007, she served as specialized department level staff, which offered her exposure to both the business and technical aspects of Crane.

Since 1998, Mervyn has served in various supervisory roles across all three of Crane’s mission areas: electronic warfare, expeditionary warfare and strategic missions. She graduated from Purdue University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering. She has also earned her Master’s Degree in engineering management from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2003 and a Master’s Degree in public affairs from Indiana University in 2009.

Crane Regional Defense Group was formed in 2020 with the goal of connecting local communities and businesses with Crane as part of a grassroots vehicle for advocacy. Individual objectives of the self-described “chamber of commerce for Crane” include educating the region about Crane and opportunities there, supporting jobs, building consensus, and supporting defense.
