INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Motor Truck Association announced Oct. 13 that its board of directors has elected Larry Limp, owner of LNL Trucking Inc. of Bedford, as the 2021-22 IMTA chairman. Limp joined the association in 2009 and was elected to the board in 2013.
“Larry’s entrepreneurship plays a key role in our association,” said Gary Langston, IMTA president. “The trucking industry is the lifeblood of the economy. Like many industries, we continue to experience volatile issues unlike ever before. Larry’s ability to manage and successfully grow his business during these turbulent times is testimony to his focus and vision for our industry. We value his style and look forward to his guidance over the next year.”
Limp has worked in the industry for 38 years. LNL Trucking Inc. was created in 2001 in Bedford by Limp and his wife Nancy. For Limp, the dream of owning a trucking company began in childhood. LNL is a bulk carrier, and its main area of operation is the Midwest and East Coast.
“I’m honored and humbled to be the chairman of the IMTA,” Limp commented. “This opportunity will allow me to continue to build on many of the things we are already focused on, such as work force development and infrastructure, as well as some new initiatives with the IMTA association leadership team. It’s an evolving industry, and there’s a lot of work to be done. I’m ready to get started.”
